TULA
There are chronicles that intertwine historical events and occurrences of the real Tollan with stories about the mythical Tollan, which was inhabited by exceptional beings who were credited with the invention of writing, metallurgy, and other arts and sciences.
In 1873, Antonio García Cubas referred to it before the Mexican Society of Geography and History, and drew attention to the similarity between the Palace of the Lord of the Dawn (Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli) and the Pyramid of the Thousand Columns at Chichén Itzá.
The French explorer Désiré Charnay visited it in 1880 and praised it in his book Les Anciennes villes du Nouveau Monde.
This tour also takes us to Xicuco Hill, located about 25 minutes from the archaeological zone, a place of great importance to this culture.
The legend of this hill: El Xicuco and the Witches' Dances
